The new show from Simon Cowell, X Factor has become an instant success in the United States. The show premiered last month, and viewers have been tuning in to watch the talent that has been discovered. According to a new interview, Melanie Amaro discussed the fact that she was happy to have the opportunity to be competing on the live shows, after Cowell asked her to come back to the show.
As Digital Spy reports, Melanie Amaro said of having the opportunity to compete on the live shows, after Simon Cowell did not initially choose her to do so: “It was a shock for him to show up at my door at my home in Florida. For him to fly there and tell me he wanted me to come back was a big something for me. To get a second chance at it… The feeling is amazing. I think I will never take this for granted. I feel blessed, I feel special. I feel as though he sees what I love to do.”
Fans will recall that Simon Cowell inititally chose his top 4 which did not include Melanie Amaro even though he said that she was truly talented. Cowell was shown on X Factor going to Florida to ask the hopeful to return to the show. This week, Melanie Amaro performed a Whitney Houston hit, “I Have Nothing,” and Cowell even said that she could possibly be the winner on the show.
