Everyone is always searching for storage space for their electronics. Whether it is external hard drives or more internal hard drives everyone needs more space. Well you get some companies like zenOK that take your storage solution to a new level. They take your storage to the “clouds”. What that means is that you will have all your storage information and files and folders on a server you can access from anywhere. Hence the “cloud” name.
zenOK offered to give me a look at their service and I was quite shocked at what I found. First is the ease of use. It couldn’t have been simpler to get your files and have them uploaded to their “cloud”. However getting to that point was a bit of a pain, as it took a few tries to get the software to download properly to my computer, I blame my inbox but that is neither here nor there. The people at zenOK were always quick with a response when I had an issue.
So after setting up the software and getting it all installed properly I went about and selected the files I wanted to test as an upload. I had the initial 21GB trial and while uploading I found out that there is a cap limit on file size at 25MB. If I upgraded my account that would be lifted and then I could upload any size I want with a complete storage of 150GB. Like I said it was very easy to set-up and started. In no time I was backing up my selected files and the uploading goes only as fast as your internet connection can handle.
You can also restore any files that you lost to a hard drive crash. It is that service alone that has saved my butt in the past when I have had a hard drive crash. It is amazing the feeling you have when you lose all your hard work and all your files in one failed swoop to the feeling of knowing you have a complete back-up of your most important files. It is a feeling like no other. From complete hopelessness to utter relief, this is what zenOK can provide for you.
The interface is very simple to navigate as everything is point and click and everything is very easy to do. They walk you through the entire process so you can’t mess it up. They did a great job in making sure that it is idiot proof. You will be uploading your files in no time and then you shall be worry free from then on out.
Not unlike some other companies zenOK provides you with a small icon in your systems tray that is out of the way but still gives you little hints that things are working properly and you can access your files very quickly. There is also a snooze feature which allows you to turn the system off for up to 8 hours but if you need to have zenOK back on you can quickly “wake up” the system and start downloading or uploading as you see fit.
The service that zenOK provides is a safe and secure storage facility for your files and pics and videos. All at a reasonable prices, going from FREE to $29 per month. The Free plan is just to give you a sample a little taste, then the $5 plan gives you a little bit more freedom, the $8 plan opens up your mobile platform as well and then the $29 plan is the crème de le crème of services. 750GB of possible storage 24 hour support and so much more.
So if you want an alternative to external hard drives and would rather access files from an online server that you can access anywhere in the world. Then zenOK is your company. Go to zenOK.com and sign-up for the service and the amount you are willing to spend on keeping your files safe and take it from there. I am using it and I am quite enjoying it.
Tell them TheTechnoFiles sent ya. I doubt it will get you anything special but it is always nice to know that someone sent them over. So on the Kyle Scientific Scale-o-Rama we will give zenOK online file storage a 9.2 out of 10 and the only downfall is the size limit on the upload to get you to purchase a better package. I get the reasoning but I think the service itself should show the people the reason to purchase.
